Stoors
Так называлась третья разновидность хоббитов, представители которой имели плотное телосложение. Слово "stor", "stoor" ("большой, сильный") принадлежит к раннему английскому языку; сейчас оно вышло из употребления. Таким образом считается, что это особенное хоббитское слово, не употребляющееся во всеобщем, так что его можно не переводить, а передать более-менее "фонетически" в соответствии со значениями букв в языке перевода; но подойдет также и устаревшее или диалектное слово того же значения.
